Born in Pathankot, India, and shaped by his mother's kitchen, Chef Amrit Pal Singh trained formally in Australia before earning his place in the acclaimed New York kitchens of Rahi and Adda. In October 2019 he opened Angel with a six-burner stove, one tandoor and a single fridge. Today the restaurant holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, has a team of its own, and has been called a “pride of India.”

His own restaurant in Jackson Heights, Queens. Opened in October 2019, awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and now expanded with a second, upscale dining room and a chef’s tasting menu.
